We decided to learn about the days of creation this summer with fun cooking, arts, and field trips. Today we learned day 7 of creation when God rested and blessed the 7th day in Genesis 2:1-4.
Genesis 2:1-4
So the creation of the heavens and the earth and everything in them was created. On the seventh day God had finished his work of creation, so He rested from all His work. And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because it was the day when He rested from all His work of creation. This is the account of the creation of the heavens and the earth.
Days of Creation Coloring Book
I printed out the Days of Creation Coloring Book and stapled it together for the kids. Today we colored the Day 7: Rest page in the book.
He’s got the Whole World in His Hands Craft
Supplies:
- Coffee Filter
- Blue and Green Markers
- Dropper Pipette
- White Paper
- Water
- Scissor
- Pencil
- Glue
- another color of paper
Directions:
- Color the coffee filter green and blue.
- Add droplets of water with the dropper pipette. Watch the colors blend together to resemble a globe.
- Trace your hands on the paper and cut them out.
- Let the coffee filter dry.
- Glue your hands on another piece of paper and glue the globe on your hands.
A Day of Rest
Today happens to be Sunday, so we practiced our traditional day of rest.
