The girls had fun learning about zinnias today. They like painting and games that we had today. We got our recourses for today from the Z is for Zebra, Zinnia, & Zipper Teachers Pay Teachers pack.

Zinnia Science
- We read from the Abeka Preschool Language Development Cards to learn more zinnias.
- We learned more about zinnias by watching this Growing Zinnias from Seeds video.
- She counted 15 zinnia petals with her Abeka Numbers and Skills with Button Bear book.

Zinnia Writing
- The girls each had a similar writing paper for the letter Z. My 3 year old had a capital Z and lowercase z with tracing arrows, along with a zinnia to color. The 5 year old had the same paper, but added a short poem and more tracing Z’s and z’s on the bottom. I found both of these in the Z is for Zebra, Zinnia, & Zipper Teachers Pay Teachers pack.

Zinnia Fingerprint Craft
- The girls pushed their fingerprint into the colored inkpad and made zinnias. They really enjoyed this and made several different flowers.

Zinnia Shapes
- I printed out the Zinnia Shape game and then cut the pieces and laminated them. Then she reviewed her shapes as she matched up the shape of the zinnia’s center.

Zinnia Worksheets
- We did the I Spy the Letter Z or z with a dot dauber.
- Then they did the Trace and match the zinnias colors page. We reviewed each color and how to spell them before they traced the letters and matched them to the zinnia.
- I printed out the Zinnia Number Order paper. Then she cut the number zinnias apart and glue them in the proper order above.
- She likes making patterns, so I found this Colorful Zinnia Patterns worksheet for her to complete.

Zinnia Ten Frame
- I printed out the Zinnia Ten Frame game and then cut the pieces and laminated them. Then she would tell me what the number is on the garden sign. Then she counted out the correct number of zinnias to add to the ten frame.

Zinnia Books
- Lena’S Zinnias by Missy Rolfe
- Alison’s Zinnia by Anita Lobel
- Zinnia’s Dream by Dayona Smith
