The girls had fun learning about zebras today. They like painting, playdough and crafts that we had today. We got our recourses for today from the Z is for Zebra, Zinnia, & Zipper Teachers Pay Teachers pack.

Zebra Science
- I read the letter Z from the Abeka Animal Friends Flashcards to learn more about the zebras. We watched Zed Zebra Song to go with the card.
- We learned more about zebras by watching this Animals for Kids Zebra video.
- She also did her Zebra page from her Abeka Letters & Sounds for 3’s book.
- She counted 9 leaves for the zebra to eat with her Abeka Numbers and Skills with Button Bear book.
- We reviewed all of the sounds we have learned so far with the Abeka Alphabet Flashcards.
- Then we watched the Z is for Zebra video.

Zebra Writing
- The girls each had a similar writing paper for the letter Z. My 3 year old had a capital Z and lowercase z with tracing arrows, along with a zebra to color. The 5 year old had the same paper, but added a short poem and more tracing Z’s and z’s on the bottom. I found both of these in the Z is for Zebra, Zinnia, & Zipper Teachers Pay Teachers pack.

z is for zebra
- I printed this z is for zebra Craft onto cardstock for the girls to paint. I cut out the lower case “z” for them to paint with black stripes. After that dried they glued it to a piece of green construction paper. Then I cut out the head and nose for them to glue on.

Zebra Color Match
- I printed out the Zebra Color Match game, and cut them out. I laminated them and the cut them again. Then we turned them all upside down and took turns flipping to try to find matching colors.

Zebra Bracelet
- I gave the girls some black and white pony beads and a black pipe cleaner to make a zebra bracelet.

Zebra Worksheets
- Then she practiced her cutting with her Order Zebras by Size paper. She glued them on in the order by their size.
- She also Helped the Zebra Win the Race by tracing the curvy lines.
- I printed out the Zebra Puzzle for her to practice cutting out the pieces and glue them on the proper places.

Playdough Zebra Stripes
- I printed out and laminated the Zebra Stripes Play Dough Mat. She rolled out black Play Doh into long snakes to place the appropriate amount of stripes on each zebra.

More Zebra Videos
- The girls liked Caitie’s Classroom Paint Zebra Stripes a lot.
- We also watched The Wild Kratts A Zebra with a Monkey Tail.
