The girls had fun learning about exercise today. They enjoyed being very active today. We got our recourses for today from the X is for foX, X-Ray, & eXercise Teachers Pay Teachers pack.

Exercise Learning
- We learned more about exercise by watching this The Magic School Bus Exercise Science video.
- We reviewed all of the sounds we have learned so far with the Abeka Alphabet Flashcards.
- Then I printed out the Exercise Cards and laminated them for the girls to practice each exercise.
- We also went outside to ride bikes and scooters, play basketball, and jump on the trampoline. They love this Three Wheeled Riding Scooter with the movable seat.

Exercise Writing
- The girls each had a similar writing paper for the letter X. My 3 year old had a capital X and lowercase x with tracing arrows, along with an exercising child to color. The 5 year old had the same paper, but added a short poem and more tracing X’s and x’s on the bottom. I found both of these in the X is for foX, X-Ray, & eXercise Teachers Pay Teachers pack.

Exercise Cube
- I printed out the Exercise Cube on cardstock. Then I cut it out and folded and taped it together. Then the girls rolled it and did the action that it said… “Jumping Jacks”, “Touch your Toes”, and “Cartwheels”.

Exercise Worksheets
- We did the I Spy the Letter X or x with a dot dauber.
- She likes making patterns, so I found this Exercise Patterns worksheet for her to complete.
- I printed out these How Many Exercises papers. They cut out the numbers at the bottom of the paper and then counted the exercising children’s and glued the correct number under each row of exercises.

Exercise Shapes
- I printed out the Exercise Shape game and then cut the pieces and laminated them. Then she reviewed her shapes as she matched up the barbell shapes.

Active Exercise Play
- We also loved participating in the Sports Exercise Adventures from The Good and the Beautiful.
- We found this Go Danny Move Your Body for some active time today.
- Last we watched Caitie’s Classroom Visit a Dance Class.
Exercise Books
- The Busy Body Book: A Kid’s Guide to Fitness by Lizzy Rockwell
- Oh, The Things You Can Do That Are Good for You! by Tish Rabe
- Move! by Lolly Hopwood
