The girls enjoyed learning about weather today. They liked painting and experiments. We got our recourses for today from the W is for Walrus, Woodpecker & Weather Teachers Pay Teachers pack.

Weather Science
- We read from the Abeka Preschool Language Development Cards to learn more weather.
- I also printed out the Types of Weather cards for the girls to handle.
- We learned more about weather by watching The Good and The Beautiful Weather and Water.
- I printed out the Water Cycle poster for the girls to study.
- Then I read The First Rainbow and printed out the Genesis 9:13 page for the girls to color. They love all things rainbow!

Weather Writing
- The girls each had a similar writing paper for the letter W. My 3 year old had a capital W and lowercase w with tracing arrows, along with a weather to color. The 5 year old had the same paper, but added a short poem and more tracing W’s and w’s on the bottom. I found both of these in the W is for Walrus, Woodpecker & Weather Teachers Pay Teachers pack.

W is for Weather
- I printed this W is for Weather Craft onto cardstock for the girls to paint. I cut out the capital “W” for them to paint blue. After that dried they glued it to a piece of blue construction paper. Then I cut out the weather for them to glue on.

Ten Types of Weather
- The girls each had a similar number 10 paper for counting weather types. My 3 year old had the number 10 with tracing arrows, along with a helpful poem, and 10 types of weather to color. The 5 year old had the same paper, but added more tracing 10’s on the bottom. I found both of these in the W is for Walrus, Woodpecker & Weather Teachers Pay Teachers pack.

Rain Experiment
- We filled a glass pitcher with water and then added shaving cream to the top of the water for the clouds. Then we added blue food coloring and waited while it fell through the cloud and made rain.

Weather Worksheets
- We did the I Spy the Letter W or w with a dot dauber.
- She likes making patterns, so I found this Weather Patterns worksheet for her to complete.

Rainbow Fruit Salad
- They love all fruits so we made a Fruit Salad today too!

More Weather Videos
- The girls liked Caitie’s Classroom Weather a lot.
- We found this Go Danny Fire and Ice Freeze Dance for some active time today.
- Last we watched The Magic School Bus How Weather Works.
Weather Books
- Freddy the Frogcaster by Janice Dean
