The girls had fun learning about X-Rays today. They enjoyed seeing bones inside of E-rays. We got our recourses for today from the X is for foX, X-Ray, & eXercise Teachers Pay Teachers pack.

X-Ray Learning
- We learned more about bees by watching this What Can X-Rays be used for video.
- We reviewed all of the sounds we have learned so far with the Abeka Alphabet Flashcards.
- We also read What Does the X-Ray Say? by Second Grade Students – Longfellow Elementary – West Allis WI.
- Storm also showed her before and after X-Ray pictures of her broken arm last month.
- And watched Skelton Dance too.

X-Ray Writing
- The girls each had a similar writing paper for the letter X. My 3 year old had a capital X and lowercase x with tracing arrows, along with an X-Ray to color. The 5 year old had the same paper, but added a short poem and more tracing X’s and x’s on the bottom. I found both of these in the X is for foX, X-Ray, & eXercise Teachers Pay Teachers pack.

X is for X-Ray
- I printed this X is X-Ray Craft onto cardstock for the girls to paint. I cut out the capital “X” for them to paint black. They let it dry and then added white hand prints. After that dried they glued it to a piece of purple construction paper. Then I cut out the bones for them to glue on.

Counting Bones
- I printed out the Counting Bones game and then cut the pieces and laminated them. She counted how many bones on each piece and then matched it up to the matching number.

X-Ray Puzzle
- I printed out the X-Ray Puzzle on cardstock and then laminated it so that we can use it over and over again. Then they worked together to put the bones together.

X-Ray Worksheets
- I also printed out the X-Ray Shape Trace paper for her to work on her fine motor writing skills.
- Then we did the Animal X-Ray Match, which they seemed to enjoy.
- Last we Matched the X-Ray Letters of the capital and lowercase vowels.

X-Ray Play Dough
- They used black play dough and cut Q-Tips to make X-ray men. They just rolled out the dough and then used a gingerbread man cookie cutter.

X-Ray Books
- Jessica’s X-Ray by Pat Zonta
- Bastian’s X-Ray Picture by Sofie Berga
- Getting Ready for My X-Ray by Fei Zheng-Ward
AlphaTales
- We read the X book in our AlphaTales collection. The girls really enjoy these funny phonetic stories.

My “x,y,z” Book
- I read the My “x,y,z” Book by Jane Belk Moncure to the girls too. An astronaut helps Little a in the book.

X-Ray Field Trip
- We saw this X-Ray box at our local Children’s Museum Field Trip.
