The girls had fun learning about yogurt today. They had fun with playdough, painting, and games. We got our recourses for today from the Y is for Yak, Yarn, & Yogurt Teachers Pay Teachers pack.

Yogurt Learning
- We learned more about yogurt by watching this Where Does Yogurt Come From video..
- We reviewed all of the sounds we have learned so far with the Abeka Alphabet Flashcards.
- Then we watched the Yogurt Kids Songs.
- We also made a yogurt treat with strawberry yogurt in a sugar cone and a strawberry on top.

Yogurt Writing
- The girls each had a similar writing paper for the letter Y. My 3 year old had a capital Y and lowercase y with tracing arrows, along with yogurt to color. The 5 year old had the same paper, but added a short poem and more tracing Y’s and y’s on the bottom. I found both of these in the Y is for Yak, Yarn, & Yogurt Teachers Pay Teachers pack.

Yogurt Playdough
The girls got out their PlayDoh Smoothie Maker and their PlayDoh Icecream Maker to make their own play dough yogurt treats.

Yogurt Color Matching
- I printed out the Yogurt Color Matching game and then cut the pieces and laminated them. She reviewed each color as she matched up the colored fruit with the matching colored yogurt.

Yogurt Worksheets
- We did the I Spy the Letter Y or y with a dot dauber.
- Last we Matched the Yogurt Letters of the capital and lowercase vowels.
- I printed out the Yogurt Number Order paper. Then she cut the number yogurt apart and glue them in the proper order above.
- I printed out these How Many Yogurts papers. They cut out the numbers at the bottom of the paper and then counted the yogurt and glued the correct number under each row of yogurt cups.
