The girls had fun learning about vegetables today. They love eating lots of different vegetables and painting.. We got our recourses for today from the V is for Vulture, Veterinarian & Vegetable Teachers Pay Teachers pack.

Vegetable Learning
- We learned more about vegetables with the Pumpkin and Carrot Life Cycle posters.
- We reviewed all of the sounds we have learned so far with the Abeka Alphabet Flashcards.
- Then we watched the The Vegetable Song while we looked at these Vegetable Cards.

Vegetable Writing
- The girls each had a similar writing paper for the letter V. My 3 year old had a capital V and lowercase v with tracing arrows, along with vegetables to color. The 5 year old had the same paper, but added a short poem and more tracing V’s and v’s on the bottom. I found both of these in the V is for Vulture, Veterinarian & Vegetable Teachers Pay Teachers pack.

V is for Vegetable
- I printed this V is for Vegetable Craft onto cardstock for the girls to paint. I cut out the capital “V” for them to paint green. After that dried they glued it to a piece of green construction paper. Then I cut out the vegetables for them to glue on.

Ten Vegetables
- The girls each had a similar number 10 paper for counting vegetables. My 3 year old had the number 10 with tracing arrows, along with a helpful poem, and 10 vegetables to color. The 5 year old had the same paper, but added more tracing 10’s on the bottom. I found both of these in the V is for Vulture, Veterinarian & Vegetable Teachers Pay Teachers pack.

Will it Float?
- I printed out the Will it Float? paper and laminated it to be used over and over. The girls placed each vegetable one at a time in the glass bowl of water to see if it floats or sinks. Then they marked it on the sheet.

Vegetable Worksheets
- We did the I Spy the Letter V or v with a dot dauber.
- She likes making patterns, so I found this Vegetable Patterns worksheet for her to complete.
- I printed out these How Many Vegetable papers. They cut out the numbers at the bottom of the paper and then counted the vegetables and glued the correct number under each row of vegetables.

Vegetable Taste Test
- I printed out the Vegetables I Like paper and laminated it to be used over and over. After they washed the vegetables the girls used their Kids Kitchen Knife Set to cut up the vegetables into smaller sizes. Then they tasted each vegetable on their list and marked down if they liked it or not. Both of the girls absolutely love vegetables and eat several different kinds a day already.

Vegetable Painting
- We used the leftover vegetable to paint with. I poured the paint onto a paper plate and let the girls dip the vegetables in the paint and place on their papers. They really enjoyed this and stayed with it for quite some time.

Cheddar Broccoli Potato Chowder
We used the Broccoli Potato Chowder recipe in the V is for Vulture, Veterinarian & Vegetable Teachers Pay Teachers pack.

Vegetable Sorting
She sorted her fruits and vegetables in the appropriate colored baskets.
