Preschool Tiger Worksheets – Learning With My Boys

The girls had fun learning about tigers today. They enjoyed crafts, painting, and reading once of their favorite books. We got our recourses for today from the T is for Tiger, Telephone, and Train Teachers Pay Teachers pack.

Tiger Science

I read the letter T from the Abeka Animal Friends Flashcards to learn more about the tigers. We watched Timmy Tiger Song to go with the card.
We learned more about tigers by watching Wild Kratts Explore India video.
She also did her Tiger page from her Abeka Letters & Sounds for 3’s book.
She counted 8 tiger prints with her Abeka Numbers and Skills with Button Bear book.
She also completed her tiger craft from her Abeka Arts and Crafts with Button Bear book.
We reviewed all of the sounds we have learned so far with the Abeka Alphabet Flashcards.
Then we watched the Danny Go Escape from Tiger Island video.

The girls each had a similar writing paper for the letter T. My 3 year old had a capital T and lowercase t with tracing arrows, along with a tiger to color. The 5 year old had the same paper, but added a short poem and more tracing T’s and t’s on the bottom. I found both of these in the T is for Tiger, Telephone, and Train Teachers Pay Teachers pack.

I printed this t is for tiger Craft onto cardstock for the girls to paint. I cut out the lower case “t” for them to paint orange. They let it dry and then add black paint stripes. After that dried they glued it to a piece of yellow construction paper. Then I cut out the face and tail for them to glue on.

The girls each had a similar number 8 paper for counting tigers. My 3 year old had the number 8 with tracing arrows, along with a helpful poem, and 8 tigers to color. The 5 year old had the same paper, but added more tracing 8’s on the bottom. I found both of these in the T is for Tiger, Telephone, and Train Teachers Pay Teachers pack.

I printed out the Tiger Ten Frame game and then cut the pieces and laminated them. Then she would tell me what the number is on the Daddy tiger’s sign. Then she counted out the correct number of cubs to add to the ten frame.

Then she practiced her cutting with her Order Tigers by Size paper. She glued them on in the order by their size.
She also Helped the Tiger win the Race by tracing the curvy lines.
