10 Apples up on Top

First we read 10 Apples up on Top by Dr. Seuss. Print out the free 10 Apple Stack from Teachers Pay Teachers. Then Storm glued a picture of herself to the bottom of the paper and cut out the apples and glued them in numerical order on top of her head.

Ten Little Rubber Ducks

First we read Ten Little Rubber Ducks by Eric Carle. Print out the free 10 Ducklings Number Sequencing from Teachers Pay Teachers. Then Storm painted a paper with blue watercolor. She cut out the ducklings and glued them in numerical order following the momma duck.

Counting Ice Cream

I made ice cream scoops in different colors with a number on each one. I laminated them so that we can use them again. Then I made a cone so the kids could put the ice cream scoops in number order on the cone.

These kids are having fun learning their number order!

You can also learn colors with this activity, or have the children bring you the number/ color that you ask for!
