Insect Writing

  • The girls each had a similar writing paper for the letter I. My 3 year old had a capital I and lowercase i with tracing arrows, along with insects to color. The 5 year old had the same paper, but added a short poem and more tracing I’s and i’s on the bottom. I found both of these in the Letter I is for Inchworm, Igloo, & Insect Preschool Pack Digital Download.

i is for insect Craft

  • I printed this i is for Insect Craft onto cardstock for the girls to paint. I cut out the lowercase “i” for them to paint their favorite color. After that dried they glued it to a piece of white construction paper. Then I cut out the body parts for them to glue on.

Insect Worksheets

  • I printed out these How Many Insects papers. They cut out the numbers at the bottom of the paper and then counted the insects and glued the correct number under each row of insects.
  • Then they did the Trace and match the bug colors page. We reviewed each color and how to spell them before they traced the letters and matched them to the bugs.

Insect Action Cube

  • I printed out the Insect Action Cube on cardstock. Then I cut it out and folded and taped it together. Then the girls rolled it and did the action that it said… “Hop like a grasshopper”, “Stretch like a caterpillar”, and “Crawl like a ladybug”.

Three Insects

The girls each had a similar number 3 paper for counting fish. My 3 year old had the number 3 with tracing arrows, along with a helpful poem, and 3 insects to color. The 5 year old had the same paper, but added more tracing 3’s on the bottom. I found both of these in the Letter I is for Inchworm, Igloo, & Insect Preschool Pack Digital Download.
