The girls had fun learning about nurses today. They loved playing nurse with their babies today. We got our recourses for today from the N is for Narwhal, Nurse, Nuts Teachers Pay Teachers pack.
Nurse Learning
- We read from the Abeka Preschool Language Development Cards to learn more nurses.
- We learned more about nurses by watching this Community Helpers Doctors and Nurses video.
- She also did her Nurse page from her Abeka Letters & Sounds for 3’s book.
- We reviewed all of the sounds we have learned so far with the Abeka Alphabet Flashcards.
- Finally we watched Nurse- Kids Dream Jobs video.
Nurse Writing
- The girls each had a similar writing paper for the letter N. My 3 year old had a capital N and lowercase n with tracing arrows, along with a nurse to color. The 5 year old had the same paper, but added a short poem and more tracing N’s and n’s on the bottom. I found both of these in the N is for Narwhal, Nurse, Nuts Teachers Pay Teachers pack.
n is for nurse
- I printed this n is for nurse Craft onto cardstock for the girls to paint. I cut out the lower case “n” for them to paint white. After that dried they glued it to a piece of white construction paper. Then I cut out the head and hands for them to glue on.
Six Nurses
- The girls each had a similar number 6 paper for counting nurses. My 3 year old had the number 6 with tracing arrows, along with a helpful poem, and 6 nurses to color. The 5 year old had the same paper, but added more tracing 6’s on the bottom. I found both of these in the N is for Narwhal, Nurse, Nuts Teachers Pay Teachers pack.
Nurse Clipboard Chart
- I printed off the Nurse Clipboard Chart for the girls to play nurse with their baby dolls. They loved looking at the chart and then checking their baby and marking their charts.
Nurse Tool Matching
- I printed out the Nurse Tool Matching cut and glue page for her to practice with her scissors.
Nurse’s Bag 10 Frame
- I printed out the Nurse’s Bag Ten Frame activity and then cut the pieces and laminated them. Then she would tell me what the number is on the nurse’s bag. Then she counted out the correct number of tools to add to the ten frame.
