4 Year Old Elsa Preschool Photoshoot

I feel like Frozen is every girls favorite. She is starting to learn the songs now. We love playing it in the dvd player in the car every January to prepare her for her Elsa photoshoot!

Elsa is a powerful princess. She is learning how to control her powers and doesn’t want to hurt her family while she figures it out. She will do anything to protect her sister from getting hurt by her powers, even isolate herself from Anna. I love that the “one true love” at the end of the movie is the sister rather than the boy this time.

Storm also loves her family and tells me several times a day “Mom,” waits for me to answer and says, “I love you!” She is learning everyday too, and discovering new strengths as she grows.

We took her Elsa pictures in the front yard after out biggest snow ever. We had 17 inches in 24 hours! She wore an Elsa dress that someone had given to us last year with a crown that we found with blue hearts. She wore boots this year because of so much snow, and she wore her blue  earrings are from a multi color pack that I bought when she was a baby. I put a loose braid in her hair and tried to put it over their shoulder. She wanted to bring out her giant stuffed Olaf and some snowflakes that we had.

Storm has dressed as Elsa on January 17 every year of her short life!

4 Year Old Belle Preschool Photoshoot

Beauty and the Beast is one of her favorites, for some reason she is fascinated with the Beast. She is starting to love all of the songs as much as I do too! We love playing it in the dvd player in the car every December to prepare her for her Belle photoshoot!

Belle is an adventurous girl who loves to read to experience excitement. She loves her father and friends more than anything, and will do anything to protect them. She is brave, bold and brilliant!

Storm is also adventurous, and brave. She is not afraid to wander in unknown places, and often explores with me following behind. We read books every night, hoping that she will develop a natural love of books as well.

We took her Belle pictures outside for the first time this year, since it got up to 50 degrees today. We just went into the yard and brought her props with us. Her beautiful yellow dress was given to us when she was a baby, and I’ve been saving it for her. I curled her hair and pulled the top portion of it back into a bun with a bun shaper. Then I wrapped a yellow ribbon around the bun. She wore her gold earrings that have the screw on backings. I got this old book at one of our library book sales. The Chip Mug was given to me as a Christmas gift a few years back. The mirror and rose just came from out local dollar store.

Hebrews 11:1 Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.

4 Year Old Pocahontas Preschool Photoshoot

The Pocahontas Disney movie is one of my recent favorites, since I have started reading about the history of the United States. We love playing in the dvd player in the car every November to prepare her for her Pocahontas photoshoot!

Pocahontas is a respectful of nature and people. She is always outside with the river or mountains or cornfields. She spends time with her Grandmother Willow and the animals that live with her. Pocahontas tries to teach her new friend how to respect nature as well.

Storm loves nature as well. At school they call her “The Flower Hunter”. She can find wild flowers no matter what season. She also loves being outside and learning about animals too.

We went to a local park to take her Pocahontas photos this year. She wore her beautiful long hair down, to flow in the wind! She also had on a turquoise necklace that I had found at a consignment shop, and her turquoise earrings that we bought last year. She wore her Pocahontas dress that we bought last year after Halloween. I had her wear black leggings since it was colder this time of year than it has in the past. Last, she wore her golden sandals.

3 Year Old Belle Preschool Photos

Beauty and the Beast is probably one of my favorite Disney movies, and Storm looked so beautiful in her yellow dress. My husband got me this Chip tea cup for Christmas a couple years ago!

Belle is curious for adventure and is capable of seeing past the rough exterior of the Beast. She is a strong woman who stands up for herself to the gossiping town folk, Gaston, and the Beast. She also gives her life to save her father’s.

I try to teach Storms that beauty is more than skin deep. Storm is also a strong girl who is not afraid of anybody. Bugs, sure she’s afraid; but not of people. She will speak to all people no matter how they look.

Her beautiful yellow dress was given to us when she was a baby, and I’ve been saving it for her. I curled her hair and pulled the top portion of it back into a bun with a bun shaper. Then I wrapped a yellow ribbon around the bun. She wore her gold earrings that have the screw on backings. I made the fire place out of some diaper boxes last Christmas and took the girls pictures in front of it. I hung a gold curtain for the backdrop and used my homemade cardboard stone floor that we used in our X-Men Trunk-or-Treat. The Bible that she is holding is my favorite Thomas Kinkade Bible. and the rest of the props came from the local thrift store a few years ago.

3 Year Old Pocahontas Preschool Photos

Pocahontas is the only Disney princess based on a real person. I love this story; even though it isn’t historically accurate, it is still a fun way to introduce young children to a real princess. The animals made a fun addition as well.

Pocahontas means “Little Mischief”, which fits with her playful and adventurous self. She respects nature and seeks peace for her people. She teaches John Smith about respecting nature and so it can take care for humans as well. And she also tells her father, the chief, that they can live in peace with the Europeans.

Storm is definitely mischievous as well, she also loves to adventure outdoors too. She plays outside as much as possible and is always bringing me nature treasures that she finds.

I found this Pocahontas dress at a local resale store after Halloween. I was so excited, it was just in time for her pictures. She wore her brown sandals. I just combed her hair straight after her bath and parted it on the side. She also has these turquoise earrings to wear. We also used fabric sunflowers in these photos, and shot them in our front yard.

2 Year Old Ariel Toddler Photos

The Little Mermaid is the first Disney movie that I remember loving as a child. Girls just love the idea of mermaids and Storm had such fun feeling like a mermaid for the afternoon.

Ariel is such a curious, romantic and energetic girl. Her father is very protective and loves her very much, but he can’t understand her point of view because of his past experiences. She also loves her Daddy and desperately wants him to know her.

Storm is also a very energetic girl who loves her Daddy too. She loves to be silly with him and enjoys playing hide and seek. She is also very curious, not afraid to explore anything.

We took these photos in the back yard by the garden arches. She also wanted her little pool and bubbles to play with. We put some sea shells in her pool. She wore her Ariel mermaid dress. She also loves her stuffed Flounder. She wore her purple earrings are from a multi color pack with the screw backings. I lightly curled her hair and parted it on the side like Ariel. She’s holding the fork, but didn’t quite know what to do with it!

2 Year Old Belle Toddler Photos

She LOVED her dress. We watch Beauty and the Beast  weekly, so she knew who she was dressed as for the first time. Yellow is her favorite color right now too!

Belle is a fun, adventurous girl who loves to read. She doesn’t care what others think about her because her father has taught her to be true to herself. I always laugh at Gaston’s song that says, “Belle is the most beautiful girl in town, that makes her the best!” Belle knows that it’s what is on the inside of a person that counts.

I will try to teach Storm that beauty in from the inside of a person as well. We also try to read each night to develop a natural love of books.
