5 years of Disney Princess Photoshoots

My beautiful daughter has dressed up as a Disney princess every month for 5 years. When I was pregnant with her, I strategically decided which princess I would photograph each month for the next 5 years. I also started collecting second hand props.

Every August 17, she dressed as Sleeping Beauty (2020-2024).

Every September 17, she dressed as Snow White (2020-2024).

Every October 17, she dressed as Cinderella (2020-2024).

Every November 17, she dressed as Pocahontas (2020-2024).

Every December 17, she dressed as Belle (2020-2024).

Every January 17, she dressed as Elsa (2021-2025).

Every February 17, she dressed as Rapunzel (2021-2025).

Every March 17, she dressed as Jasmine (2021-2025).

Every April 17, she dressed as Tiana (2021-2025).

Every May 17, she dressed as Mulan (2021-2025).

Every June 17, she dressed as Moana (2021-2025).

Every July 17, she dressed as Ariel (2021-2025).

Preschool Moana Photoshoot

My granddaughter is 3 years old and loves to dress up as a princess. This month we chose Moana from Disney’s Moana because I think of the ocean. Also, her dress is coral and a sandy color which reminds me of going to the beach in June.

Princess Moana is an adventurous, strong, confident, daring, and proud 16 year old girl from a South Pacific Island. Her sidekick is Heihei a rooster.

Moana quote: “Sometimes our strengths lie beneath the surface. Far beneath in some cases.”

Joshua 1:9 states, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

She wore her Moana Dress with the “Moana” hair bow from this Disney Princess Bow Pack. She hugged her stuffed Hei Hei and Pua. We also brought her Moana Toy Oar and some seashells to play with. We went to a nearby lake with a beach to take the photos this year.

4 Year Old Moana Preschool Photoshoot

Disney’s Moana is such a fun and exciting movie that Storm loves. We love playing in the dvd player in the car every June to prepare her for her Moana photoshoot!

Princess Moana loves her family and her people, but she needs to do against the rules to fine the best future for her village. She is so brave facing the ocean, demi gods, and other unknowns to make a better future for her people.

Storm enjoys this movie, it was her first favorite Disney movies. She likes the music, Maui, and the animals. She is also a very brave girl, not afraid to talk with anyone no matter their looks. She is not afraid of “Stranger Danger” at all, which is a bit alarming; but we are teaching her to remain friendly, but stay cautions.

She wore her Moana Dress a hugged her stuffed Hei Hei and Pua. We also brought her Moana Toy Oar and some seashells to play with. We went to a nearby lake with a beach to take the photos this year. We braided her wet hair the night before and when we took out the braids she had pretty tight curls. Her earrings are the pink sea turtle earrings.

Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”

3 Year Old Minnie Mouse Photos

This Girl LOVES Mickey and Minnie Mouse. We chose this for her 3 year old birthday theme.

She wore this Minnie Mouse dress and her Gold sparkly Converse shoes for the pictures. She also had her pearl earrings and Minnie Mouse bows. I have these little white rocking chairs that she likes to sit and we just put up a white sheet for the backdrop. Then, of course, she needed some photos with her stuffed Minnie Mouse.

She is 3 years old now and has a friendly adventurous spirit. She doesn’t know a stranger, and loves to talk to anyone we see when we are out and about. She loves her family and enjoys playing outside with them.

16 Month Old Belle Toddler Photos

Disney’s  Beauty and the Beast  was one of my favorites as a child, and I absolutely loved the live action that just came out. Belle’s dream is to never stop learning, but she has to sacrifice her freedom to save her father. Of course every Disney princess has an animal sidekick, and Lumiere is such a charismatic one.

Belle is an intelligent, generous, and passionate girl.

One of the songs that I sing to her is to the tune of “Mary had a Little Lamb”…

“Storm is a smart girl
Smart girl, smart girl
Storm is a smart girl
She’s my so smart girl”

I hung a gold curtain for the backdrop and used my homemade cardboard stone wall that we used in our X-Men Trunk-or-Treat. The props came from the local thrift store a few years ago. 

Her Disney Belle dress was a hand-me-down from a friend. She also wore white tights with her white sandals and Belle bow from her princess bow set. Her red  earrings are from a multi color pack that I found on Amazon.
