The girls loved learning about firefighters today. They loved making fire dough and a firetruck snack. We got our recourses for today from the Letter F is for Fish, Firefighter, Flower Preschool Pack Digital Download.

Firefighter Science
- We read from the Abeka Preschool Language Development Cards to learn more firefighters.
- We learned more about Firefighter’s Equipment with the poster.
- We reviewed what things are hot with the What’s Hot? What’s Not? printable.
- We learned more about firefighters by watching Danny Go visits the Fire Station and Caitie’s Classroom visit’s the Fire Station.

Firefighter Writing
- The girls each had a similar writing paper for the letter F. My 3 year old had a capital F and lowercase f with tracing arrows, along with a firefighter to color. The 5 year old had the same paper, but added a short poem and more tracing Fโs and fโs on the bottom. I found both of these in the Letter F is for Fish, Firefighter, Flower Preschool Pack Digital Download.

Two Firefighters
- The girls each had a similar number 2 paper for counting firefighters. My 3 year old had the number 2 with tracing arrows, along with a helpful poem, and a flower to color. The 5 year old had the same paper, but added more tracing 2โs on the bottom. I found both of these in the Letter F is for Fish, Firefighter, Flower Preschool Pack Digital Download.

Firetruck Snack
- We put red icing on the Graham Cracker. Then we used a small square of the graham cracker for the driver’s window and the Mini Oreo‘s for the wheels. We made a ladder out of the pretzel sticks.

Tissue Paper Flame
- I printed and cut out the flame onto cardstock. Then we cut our red and yellow tissue paper into 1 inch squares. We wrapped the tissue papers around the eraser on our pencils and then dipped them into glue. Then we press the tissues onto the flame.

Stop, Drop, and Roll
- I printed out the Stop, Drop, and Roll poster and the girls practiced it over and over.

My “f” Book
- I read the My “f” Book by Jane Belk Moncure to the girls too. Little f helps the firemen put out a fire.

Put out the Fire
- She also Helped the Fireman put out the Fires by tracing the curvy lines.

Homemade Fire Dough (Cloud Dough)
- To make our fire dough we mixed 1 cup of conditioner, 2 cups of cornstarch, and 1/4 cup of cold water, then we added red and yellow food coloring to make it orange.

Shape Flames
- I printed out the Fire Shapes and laminated them for the girls to make shapes with their fire dough.
