Frozen Birthday Cake -6

I made my friend, R, a Frozen cake for her party.  She said she wanted a castle with Elsa on the top and for it to say “Happy Birthday, Princess”!  I based the cake from the Frozen Fever preview that the 2 of us watched at the beginning of the Cinderella movie.  I got the tiny Frozen characters from Amazon.  She loved the cake and it was a great party!

I piped melted almond bar to make the snowflakes.

I used candy melts and Hershey’s Drops to make the sunflowers.

I melted blue and purple Jolly Ranchers to make the ice castle. I found Elsa and Friends on Amazon.

The inside of the top layer was swirled blue, purple, and white cake batter.

The inside of the bottom layer I used my checkered cake pan with blue, purple, and white cake batter.

I made the banner with toothpicks, thread, and paint.

Buttercream Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup Crisco
  • 4 cups powdered sugar (2 lbs)

  • 1 tablespoon milk (if thick)

Directions:

  1. Cream together the butter and Crisco with a mixer.
  2. Slowly add in 1 cup of powdered sugar at a time.
  3. Add the vanilla, if it seems too thick you can add a bit of milk.

Happy Birthday, Raegan!
