2 Year Old Rapunzel Toddler Photos

Tangled is a fun movie for our family. She is starting to understand who she is dressed as for the pictures.

Princess Rapunzel was taken as a baby, so she wasn’t raised as a princess. She keeps a positive and upbeat attitude despite being trapped in a tower her whole life. She finds a friend and fun things to do to keep her days busy.

Storm is also a busy girl, we are working on the positive attitude though. She is generally a happy girl, but does live up to her name sometimes.

We went to to the park this year for her Rapunzel photos. I painted a sun on the tiny frying pan when she was a baby for her Baby Rapunzel photos, I printed out a picture of Flynn Rider on some resume paper to give it an old look. We also added some fun pink flowers. She is wearing a Rapunzel dress that we found at a yard sale too. The weather was pretty nice this year, so she got to be barefoot. I combed her hair straight after her back and parted it on the side. She wore her purple  earrings are from a multi color pack that I bought when she was a baby.

Psalm 46:5 “God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early”.

2 Year Old Elsa Toddler Photos

Disney’s Frozen is such a sweet movie (makes me cry every time). She likes the snow and the thought winter as much as Olaf loves the thought of summer. She loves to cuddle her Stuffed Olaf.

Princess Elsa is such a loving sister. She loves her sister Anna so much that she keeps herself hidden away to protect Anna from her untrained powers.

Storm is also turning out to be a loving girl. She loves her baby niece more than anything, and asks every day if she will be spending the day with us.

She loves getting all dressed up and says, “Pretty like a Princess”. I tried an easy loose braid, but she absolutely hates when I mess with her hair. She wore an Elsa dress , these white flats and her blue  earrings are from a multi color pack. We took these picture with a blue sheet for the background. I also added some Christmas lights behind the sheet to like like snowflakes, then I hung a snowflake from the ceiling. I used a snowflake tablecloth for the floor.

Romans 12:9 “Let love be sincere; hate what is evil, hold on to what is good”.

Toddler & Baby Christmas Photos

I decided to take the girls Christmas photos in front of my DIY Fireplace. You can check out how I created my fireplace from diaper boxes at my Christmas Fireplace & Crafts post. You can also see how I made my Charlie Brown Christmas Tree there, it is in a few of these pictures.

She’s such a toddler… all over the place! I tried to get her to stay still, but I guess only Jesus can calm the Storm! I dressed her in a red velvet Santa dress and curled her hair a bit. She is also wearing her red earrings from this multicolored earring pack that I got for her a while back. We like these screw on earring backings for babies and toddlers.

Such a sweet 9 month old… She is much more relaxed than the Storm was, but she still wants to move about since it is a new thing for her. I love how she put her toes together and her hands behind her head. She was just wearing a red and white striped diaper cover and a baby sized Santa hat. I found a red basket at a thrift store and glued on the white batting and black Santa belt. I just added a blanket in the basket to make it a bit more comfortable for her.

This was a very challenging photoshoot with a 2 year old and and 9 month old. They just want to move and move so much, and the baby is new to sitting up on her own.

2 Year Old Belle Toddler Photos

She LOVED her dress. We watch Beauty and the Beast  weekly, so she knew who she was dressed as for the first time. Yellow is her favorite color right now too!

Belle is a fun, adventurous girl who loves to read. She doesn’t care what others think about her because her father has taught her to be true to herself. I always laugh at Gaston’s song that says, “Belle is the most beautiful girl in town, that makes her the best!” Belle knows that it’s what is on the inside of a person that counts.

I will try to teach Storm that beauty in from the inside of a person as well. We also try to read each night to develop a natural love of books.

Her beautiful yellow dress was given to us when she was a baby, and I’ve been saving it for her. I curled her hair and pulled the top portion of it back into a bun with a bun shaper. Then I wrapped a yellow ribbon around the bun. She wore her gold earrings that have the screw on backings. I hung a gold curtain for the backdrop and used my homemade cardboard stone floor that we used in our X-Men Trunk-or-Treat. The props came from the local thrift store a few years ago. She loved playing with the props!

Ecclesiastes 3:11 “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end”.

Christmas Fireside Family Photos

Merry Christmas!

Lots of teens and tots in our family photo this year! The toughest part of family time these days, is matching the schedule of these kids going every which way. They are all involved in so many activities, I am sososososo proud of them all.

I set up my props in the backyard by our firepit and picnic table. I used vintage sleds, firewood, checkered tablecloth, my son’s guitar, and some evergreenery. We all dressed in denim, red, and black. I also tried to add as much red and black gingham that I could.

The Tots

These girls did very well for being so young. I had this vintage baby sled that I had found at a garage sale a while back. It fit well with my red, wooden, vintage fireside Christmas scene.

I also place a couple artificial Christmas trees because we don’t have real evergreens in this part of our yard. My dad will collect these after Christmas on the curb in his neighborhood.

The Picnic Table

Our picnic table became the center of our photos despite my efforts to include all of the props that I set out and the fireplace.

The Tree

The big kids leaned against the tree by the woodpile for some of our photos.

The Guitar

I love that he plays guitar and enjoys music so much. He enjoys playing for fun, but also gets to play his bass in church on Sunday mornings.

The Storm

She is so beautiful and loved sitting in this little seat at the woodpile. She wore her little red and black checkered jacket and canvas shoes.

Merry Christmas to all!

2 Year Old Pocahontas Toddler Photos

We had been watching Disney Pocahontas this fall so she was excited to she herself as the “Pretty Princess”.

Pocahontas loves to explore the outdoors and nature. She’s an adventurous and curious girl who is looking for the right path to follow. She is wise enough to seek the advice of her elder grandmother tree, and stands up for what is right even if it goes against the norm.

Ever since she could walk, Storm also loves being outdoors. She loves to pick flowers and help me in the garden. We will always teach her to follow the ways of the Lord even though most people will disagree with it.

I found this Pocahontas dress at a local resale store after Halloween. I was so excited, it was just in time for her pictures. I just combed her hair straight after her bath and parted it on the side. She also has these turquoise earrings to wear. I placed my  blue sheet for the background with Christmas lights behind it to look like a water fall. I just crumpled brown packing paper to place on either side of the waterfall and a brown sheet on the ground. We also used fabric leaves these photos.

Deuteronomy 31:8 “It is the LORD who goes before you; he will be with you and will never fail you or forsake you. So do not fear or be dismayed”.

Baby Cinderella Photoshoot

She’s 6 months old now. We chose Disney’s  Cinderella with pumpkins for this October photo session.

She loves to be on her tummy, making it easier for me to get some cute pictures at this stage!

She wore this Blue Body Suit with a blue tutu. I also bought her this silver headband crown.

I placed a light  white sheet for the background and then a fluffy baby pad for her to lay on. I love ivy and pumpkins. I wanted to incorporate the pumpkins, but I didn’t want to have bright orange in my magical fairyland; so I spray painted sliver onto some pumpkins and they turned out great! I found her these silver  star magic wand , glass slipper, and silver castle.

2 Year Old Cinderella Toddler Photo

Disney Cinderella is a good princess movie to start with because it has so many fun characters for littles. Storm likes watching the mice and cat in this one.

Cinderella is kind and gentle to all creatures, even to her family who treats her unfairly. She greets them all in the morning and does what they command her to do with a kind heart. She also loves all of the animals in her home and has made them her friends.

Storm is also very friendly. Whenever we are out at about; she will wave at people and try to talk with old men for some reason! She likes to hold our cats, and we are teaching her how to have gentle touches.

We found her dress at a consignment shop and I bought the gloves, headband, and necklace to go with it. She wore her white pearl earrings and I put her hair up in a bun with a bun shaper. I used white and light  blue sheet as the background and floor. I put the homemade cardboard stone wall that we used in our X-Men Trunk-or-Treat as part of the background as well. Then I used our ivy planter for decorations. The clock in the background was given to me on Facebook. I sprayed the pumpkins silver and found some ivy to go with them. AND… she loves her star wand! Bippity Boppity Boo!

1 John 4:10 “This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.”

Cousin Fall Forest Photos

We went to the backyard forest for these pictures. These three girls are cousins; we decided to take the pictures for as a Christmas gift for the grandparents.

We decided on fall colors for their clothing. She wore a brown striped sweater dress and tiny cowboy boots. The older girls wore red tops with their red converse.

I love fall in this part of the country. The leaves turn all of the colors and the temperature feels so nice after the long hot, humid summer.

Little Miss Storm wasn’t interested in cooperating with her smiles today., but we did get a couple of smiles from her.
