My granddaughter is 3 years old and loves to dress up as a princess. This month we chose Pocahontas from Disney’s Pocahontas because I think of corn and sunflowers in the fall. Also, her dress is brown like the November fall leaves.
Princess Pocahontas is an adventurous, bold, respectful, generous, daring 18 year old girl from Powhatan tribe’s territory in Tsenacommacah, Virginia. Her sidekick is Meeko the raccoon.
Pocahontas quote: “My dream is pointing me down another path.”

The girls each had a similar writing paper for the letter F. My 3 year old had a capital F and lowercase f with tracing arrows, along with a fish to color. The 5 year old had the same paper, but added a short poem and more tracing F’s and f’s on the bottom. F is for Fish Craft
I printed this F is for Fish Craft onto cardstock for the girls to paint. I cut out the capital “F” for them to paint orange. After that dried they glued it to a piece of blue construction paper. Then I cut out the head, tail, and fin for them to glue on.
Fishbowl Shapes
I printed out the Fishbowl Shape game and then cut the pieces and laminated them. Then she reviewed her shapes as she matched up the fish with the appropriate fishbowls.
The girls each had a similar number 1 paper for counting fish. My 3 year old had the number 1 with tracing arrows, along with a helpful poem, and a fish to color. AlphaTales
We read the F book in our AlphaTales collection. The girls really enjoy these funny phonetic stories.

e is for Egg Craft
I printed this e is for Egg Craft onto cardstock for the girls to paint. I cut out the lower case “e” for them to paint yellow (for the egg yoke). After that dried they glued it to a piece of blue construction paper. Then I cut out the egg shell for them to glue on.
The girls use the Egg Names paper to practice making their names.
Frying Egg Shapes
I printed out the Frying Pan Egg Shape game and then cut the pieces and laminated them. Then she reviewed her shapes as she matched up the egg yokes to the frying egg whites.

Elk Color Matching
I printed out the Elk Color Matching game and then cut the pieces and laminated them. She reviewed each color as she matched up the colored flower with the elk with the matching colored flower in his mouth.
Playdough Trees
I printed out and laminated the Forest Play Dough Mats. She rolled out green Play Doh and used a triangle cookie cutters to place the appropriate amount of trees in each forest. They also tried making tall 3D trees.
Elk Tracks
I printed out the Elk Tracks Pages for her to follow the elk tracks to the forest.
Elk Hat
First the girls cut out 2 large brown circles from construction paper. Then I traced their hands on yellow construction paper and cut them out. We glued 2 brown circle slightly above the other for the head, and then glued the yellow hands in the back for the antlers. Next I cut out 2 long brown strips and stapled them to the elk’s head to make a headband. They each drew a face on their elk’s head.

I printed this E is for Elephant craft onto cardstock for the girls to paint. I cut out the capital “E” for them to paint gray. They also painted the ear and trunk. After that dried they glued it to a piece of red construction paper. Then I cut out the tail and eyes for them to glue on.
Elephant Color Match
I printed out the Elephant Color Match, and cut them out. I laminated them and the cut them again. Then we turned them all upside down and took turns flipping to try to find matching colors. They are getting good at playing this game now.
Elephant Stomp
We talked about how elephants walk on their tip toes, and the babies use their trunks to hold the mom’s tails. We looked at the Elephant Stomp poster, as they walked like elephants.
Counting Peanuts
I printed out the Counting Peanutsgame and then cut the pieces and laminated the pieces. She counted the peanuts as she fed them to the elephant.
Elephant Party Blower Trunk
I printed out the Elephant Party Blower Trunk on white cardstock. Then the girls colored their elephants and cut them out, I helped cut out the circle for the trunk. Then they put their party blower in the elephant’s trunk spot and blow out the party blower trunk.
The girls had fun learning about dogs today. They really liked learning about different dog breeds, hide and seek, and painting. We got our recourses for today from the D is for Donkey, Doctor, Dog Teachers Pay Teachers pack.
I printed the Dog Breed Cards for her to play with and learn about.

I printed out the Dalmatian Spot Shape game and then cut the pieces and laminated them. Then she reviewed her shapes as she matched up the shape spots to the appropriate Dalmatian.
Dog Counting
I printed out the Dog Bone Counting game and then cut the pieces and laminated them. She counted how many bones on each piece and then matched it up to the matching number.

I printed out the Dog Emotions Matching game and then cut the pieces and laminated them. First we talked about different emotions and then she matched them up.
Dogs Colorful Day Match
We read Dogs Colorful Day by Emma Dodd. I printed out the colorful bones and laminated them to hide around the room. The girls loved finding them and telling the puppy Dalmatian what color his bone is when they fed it to him.

I printed out and laminated the Bandaid Play Dough Mat. She rolled out her Play Doh and cut out bandaid shapes to place the appropriate amount of stars on each page.
Bandaid Shape Match
I printed out the Bandaid Shape Match game and then cut the pieces and laminated them. Then she reviewed her shapes as she matched up the bandaids.
The kids wanted to help with the carving, so I found some kid safe scooping tools for them to use. I always use a drywall saw to carve my pumpkins, it makes it so much easier. After we carved a face and counted the seeds, we fed the insides to the pumpkins. Then Storm put our tiny white pumpkins inside the mouth of the jack-o-lantern and put our small flat pumpkin for the hat.
Then she wanted to weigh the pumpkin again to see if it was less now that we took out the insides. It was 2 pounds less!
We talked about how donkeys kick and looked at the Donkey Kick poster. They put her hands on the floor and tried to kick both feet at the same time. They learned about this donkey kick at gymnastics class last week too.

D is for Donkey Craft
I printed this d is for Donkey Craft onto cardstock for the girls to paint. I cut out the lower case “d” and the legs for them to paint gray. After that dried they glued it to a piece of green construction paper. Then I cut out the head and tail for them to glue on.
I printed out the Carrot Shape game and then cut the pieces and laminated them. Then she reviewed her shapes as she fed the donkey.
Donkey Color Match
I printed out the Donkey Color Match game, and cut them out. I laminated them and the cut them again. Then we turned them all upside down and took turns flipping to try to find matching colors. They enjoyed this game, and did great taking turns.
Kicking Donkey
I printed out the Kicking Donkey craft and let the girls color it however they wanted. Then I cut out the pieces and fastened the legs with some brass fasteners. I then attached a jumbo craft stick to the back for the girls to wave back and forth to make their donkeys kick.

Car Shape Roads
I printed out the Car Shape Roads and then cut the pieces and laminated them. She used these Mini Pull Back Cars to drive on the roads. She told me what shape each road was as she drove on it.
Car Number Roads
We also printed out the Car Number Roads and then cut the pieces and laminated them. She used these Mini Pull Back Cars to drive on the roads. I used a Sharpie to write a number on the top of each car because we use these in my Kindergarteners Math Box too. She wanted to drive the car with the matching number on the appropriate road.
