Baby Book List (6-9 months)

Bedtime Books

Part of our bedtime routine is to read books to help baby fall asleep peacefully. It is also a great bonding time so we read our 2 favorite books about Mommy and Daddy:

Why I Love my Mommy by Daniel Howarth

Your Baby’s First Word will be DADA by Jimmy Fallon

Song Books

Baby likes the sing song books. She also loves to play Pat-a-Cake and Peek-a-Boo!

Where is Monkey? by Babs Bell Hajdusiewicz

Hokey Pokey Elmo by Abigail Tabby

Five Little Monkeys jumping on the bed by Eileen Christelow

Animal Books

My oldest child loved books with animal sounds, so I’m trying some of his favorites with Baby Girl too…

Noisy Farm

My first book of Animals

More Favorites

In My Tree by Sara Gillingham & Lorena Siminovich

You are My Merry Little Christmas by Joyce Wan

On the Night You Were Born by Nancy Tillman

She loves looking though the books and cleaning them off of the table too 🙂

8 Month Tiana Baby Photos

I chose Disney’s The Princess and the Frog  for the April princess since it’s spring and we could take a trip to the lake! This will be helpful for future Tiana Photos too.

I tried to fashion a Tiana type dress from some clothes that she already had, since I wasn’t able to find a tiny Tiana dress for her! I put in the Tiana bow from the  princess bow set, and she wore her small gold ball earrings.

We went to the lake and I brought a small green blanket and a rubber frog to kiss.

I used my EOS 2000D Canon Rebel Camera to take her princess photos. I also use my softbox photography lighting and backdrop rod to help.

Baby Princess Tiana

Jeremiah 30:23 “See, the storm of the LORD will burst out in wrath, a driving wind swirling down on the heads of the wicked.”

8 Month April Bubbles Baby Photos

8 months old and moving all over now! I love being creative with her! This April I found this cute tub and added some bubbles and rubber ducks for this photo shoot!

We took a trip to the park and found this fence to take a few more pictures with the tub! I just love the way they turned out even though it was hard for her to smile with the sun in her eyes.

I tried to add the bubbles outside too, but it was much too windy for them to stick around for too long.

She loved being outside and the bubbles too.

7 Month Jasmine Baby Photos

I chose Disney’s Aladdin for the March princess because Jasmine’s palace makes me think of gold and St. Patrick’s Day. I think this would be fun for her future Jasmine Photos.

I tried to fashion a Jasmine type dress from some clothes that she already had, since I wasn’t able to find a tiny Jasmine dress for her! I put in the Jasmine bow from the  princess bow set, and she wore her small gold ball earrings.

I found a gold table cloth and some scarves at the thrift store to hang as my backdrop. I added some pillows and gold canisters and jewelry too.

I used my EOS 2000D Canon Rebel Camera to take her princess photos. I also use my softbox photography lighting and backdrop rod to help.

Baby Princess Jasmine

Isaiah 4:6 “It will be a shelter and shade from the heat of the day, and a refuge and hiding place from the storm and rain.”

6 Month Rapunzel Baby Photos

I chose Disney’s Tangled for the February princess because Rapunzel’s makes me think of hearts and Valentine’s Day. I love purple and think it would look good with her future Rapunzel Photos too.

I found a purple romper dress at a used baby clothing store and used embroider thread to make the criss-cross on the top! I put in the Rapunzel bow from the  princess bow set into her hair, and she wore her small gold ball earrings.

I found the backdrop curtain at a thrift store and I made the banner with paper and ribbon that I had. She likes to grab things, so I gave her a necklace or flowers to keep her hands occupied. I also found the candle lantern at the thrift store. The hair is from an old doll that I found and the scissors I found on Amazon. I used a paint pen to make the sun on the tiny frying pan  .

I used my EOS 2000D Canon Rebel Camera to take her princess photos. I also use my softbox photography lighting and backdrop rod to help.

Baby Princess Rapunzel

Nahum 1:3 “The LORD is slow to anger but great in power; the LORD will not leave the guilty unpunished. His way is in the whirlwind and the storm, and clouds are the dust of his feet.”

Baby Book List (3-6 months)

Reading to bitty babies may seem pointless, but there are several great things about reading to the tiny ones! It lets them have your full attention and hear the sound of the voice that they love, which can sooth them. It helps them learn the love of books, reading, and learning. Encourages them to learn how to hold books and turn pages. Exposes them to rhyme and other language development. Reading is a great life long skill that you can start now with your little one.

Here are a few of our favorite books for new babies…

Where is Monkey? by Babs Bell Hajdusiewicz

In My Tree by Sara Gillingham & Lorena Siminovich

Freight Train by Donald Crews

Hello Bugs by Smriti Prasadam

Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star and other favorite bedtime rhymes by Sanja Rescek

Hokey Pokey Elmo by Abigail Tabby

Why I Love my Mommy by Daniel Howarth (My favorite)

Here are some of the books that my other children are reading now days…

10 year old boy: Wings of Fire series and Dragon Master series.

15 year old boy: Lord of the Rings series and History of Middle Earth series; also a few other books by Tolkien.

As a family we are reading the Tuttle Twins series before bed at night.

5 Month Elsa Baby Photos

I chose Disney’s Frozen for the January princess because I think we have the best chance at having snow in January for future Elsa pictures.

She wore a Baby Elsa outfit and I put in the Elsa bow from the  princess bow set into her hair.

I placed a light  blue sheet for the background and then a fluffy baby pad for her to lay on. I also found some Christmas lights  to place behind my blue sheet and some sparkly white garland to place in front. She also had her Stuffed Olaf next to her.

I used my EOS 2000D Canon Rebel Camera to take her princess photos. I also use my softbox photography lighting and backdrop rod to help.

Baby Princess Elsa

Isaiah 25:4 “You have been a refuge for the poor, a refuge for the needy in their distress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat.”
