The girls had fun learning about reptiles today. They enjoyed painting and playing games. We got our recourses for today from the R is for Rooster, Rabbit, and Reptile Teachers Pay Teachers pack.

Reptile Science
- We read from the Abeka Preschool Language Development Cards to learn more reptiles.
- We learned more about reptiles by watching this Animals for Kids Snake video.
- We reviewed all of the sounds we have learned so far with the Abeka Alphabet Flashcards.
- Then we watched the Frogs and Toads from The Good and the Beautiful video.
- I also printed out and laminated the Reptile Cards from TPT.

Reptile Writing
- The girls each had a similar writing paper for the letter R. My 3 year old had a capital R and lowercase r with tracing arrows, along with a reptile to color. The 5 year old had the same paper, but added a short poem and more tracing R’s and r’s on the bottom. I found both of these in the R is for Rooster, Rabbit, and Reptile Teachers Pay Teachers pack.

Turtle Watercolor
- I printed out the Turtle Watercolor for the girls to use their favorite watercolors on. Then I cut them out for them to play with.

Nine Reptiles
- The girls each had a similar number 9 paper for counting reptiles. My 3 year old had the number 9 with tracing arrows, along with a helpful poem, and 9 reptiles to color. The 5 year old had the same paper, but added more tracing 9’s on the bottom. I found both of these in the R is for Rooster, Rabbit, and Reptile Teachers Pay Teachers pack.

Snake Color Match
- I printed out the Snake Color Match game, and cut them out. I laminated them and the cut them again. Then we turned them all upside down and took turns flipping to try to find matching colors. They enjoyed this game, and did great taking turns.

Reptile Worksheets
- She did her Reptile Shape Matching paper first.
- We did the I Spy the Letter R or r with a dot dauber.
- Then we worked on the Reptile or not a Reptile paper. First she cut out the animals and then I helped her talk about each animal and decide if it was a reptile.
- She counted the reptiles in the doctor bag and wrote the number in the corresponding box.
- I also printed out the Turtle Shape Trace paper for her to work on her fine motor writing skills.

More Reptile Videos
- The girls liked Caitie’s Classroom Buzzing Bees a lot.
- We also watched The Wild Kratts Reptile Creature Powers.
- Last we watched The Magic School Cold Blooded Creature.
Reptile Books
