The girls had fun learning about the globe today. They enjoyed painting as always and playing catch with an inflatable globe. We got our recourses for today from the Letter G is for Goat, Garden, Globe Teachers Pay Teachers pack.

Globe Learning
- We read the Globe Poster from Letter G is for Goat, Garden, Globe Teachers Pay Teachers pack.
- We learned more about globes and maps by reading Me on the Map by Joan Sweeny.
- The girls liked Caitie’s Classroom Great Big World a lot.
- We also watched The Wild Kratts Our Blue and Green World.

Globe Writing
- The girls each had a similar writing paper for the letter G. My 3 year old had a capital G and lowercase g with tracing arrows, along with a globe to color. The 5 year old had the same paper, but added a short poem and more tracing G’s and g’s on the bottom. I found both of these in the Letter G is for Goat, Garden, Globe Teachers Pay Teachers pack.

G is for Globe Craft
- I printed this G is for Globe craft onto cardstock for the girls to paint. I cut out the capital “G” for them to paint gray. Then I cut out the earth for them to glue onto a piece of black construction paper. Last they glued the capital “G” on the globe.

Three Globes
- The girls each had a similar number 3 paper for counting globes. My 3 year old had the number 3 with tracing arrows, along with a helpful poem, and a globe to color. The 5 year old had the same paper, but added more tracing 3’s on the bottom. I found both of these in the Letter G is for Goat, Garden, Globe Teachers Pay Teachers pack.

3-D Globe Painting
- We looked at our globe to talk about the blue water and the green land. Then the girls used watercolors to paint the Globe Printable. We cut them out and slid them together to make a globe.

Compass Rose
- We learned about the Compass Rose with this poster and then reviewed the directions with the Compass Rose cut and paste paper.

Globe Worksheets
- We did the I Spy the Letter G or g with a dot dauber.
- She also reviewed her shapes with the Shape Globe paper.

Playdough Globe
- I printed out and laminated the Globe Dough Mat. She rolled out green and blue Play Doh and placed the appropriate colors for the water and land on the globe.

Inflatable Globe
- They loved playing catch with the inflatable globe. We reviewed where the water was and where the land was when they caught it.

AlphaTales
- We read the G book in our AlphaTales collection. The girls really enjoy these funny phonetic stories.
