The girls had fun learning about goats today. They enjoyed painting as always and pretending to be mountain goats on the couch. We got our recourses for today from the Letter G is for Goat, Garden, Globe Teachers Pay Teachers pack.



Goat Science
- Then we watched the Baby Goats from The Good and the Beautiful video.
- I read the letter G from the Abeka Animal Friends Flashcards to learn more about the goats. We watched Gomer Goat Song to go with the card.
- We learned more about bees by watching this Animals for Kids Goat video.
- She also did her Goat page from her Abeka Letters & Sounds for 3’s book.
- They also had fun doing the Goat Jump and playing Mountain Goats on the couch.





Goat Writing
The girls each had a similar writing paper for the letter G. My 3 year old had a capital G and lowercase g with tracing arrows, along with a goat to color. The 5 year old had the same paper, but added a short poem and more tracing G’s and g’s on the bottom. I found both of these in the Letter G is for Goat, Garden, Globe Teachers Pay Teachers pack.

g is for Goat Craft
- I printed this g is for goat Craft onto cardstock for the girls to paint. I cut out the lower case “g” for them to paint brown. After that dried they glued it to a piece of green construction paper. Then I cut out the horns, face, and beard for them to glue on.



One Goat
- The girls each had a similar number 1 paper for counting goats. My 3 year old had the number 1 with tracing arrows, along with a helpful poem, and a goat to color. The 5 year old had the same paper, but added more tracing 1’s on the bottom. I found both of these in the Letter G is for Goat, Garden, Globe Teachers Pay Teachers pack.

My “g” Book
- I read the My “g” Book by Jane Belk Moncure to the girls too.

Goat Worksheets
- The girls read the Color Sentences and colored the got the correct colors.
- She also Helped the Goats get to the Mountains by tracing the curvy lines.



Goat over the Bridge
- I printed out the Goat over the Bridge positional activity and laminated it. Then I read the sentence to her with each positional word, she placed the goat in the proper position on the bridge paper.
