E is for Elephant (preschool)

The girls had fun learning about elephants today. They had fun painting and making an elephant with a party blower nose. We got our recourses for today from the Letter E is for Elephant, Egg, Elk Preschool Pack Digital Download.

Elephant Science

AlphaTales

We read the A book in our AlphaTales collection. The girls really enjoy these funny phonetic stories.

Elephant Writing

The girls each had a similar writing paper for the letter E. My 3 year old had a capital E and lowercase e with tracing arrows, along with an elephant to color. The 5 year old had the same paper, but added a short poem and more tracing E’s and e’s on the bottom. I found both of these in the Letter E is for Elephant, Egg, Elk Preschool Pack Digital Download.

E is for Elephant Craft

I printed this E is for Elephant craft onto cardstock for the girls to paint. I cut out the capital “E” for them to paint gray. They also painted the ear and trunk. After that dried they glued it to a piece of red construction paper. Then I cut out the tail and eyes for them to glue on.

Elephant Color Match

  • I printed out the Elephant Color Match, and cut them out. I laminated them and the cut them again. Then we turned them all upside down and took turns flipping to try to find matching colors. They are getting good at playing this game now.

Elephant Stomp

  • We talked about how elephants walk on their tip toes, and the babies use their trunks to hold the mom’s tails. We looked at the Elephant Stomp poster, as they walked like elephants.

Counting Peanuts

  • I printed out the Counting Peanuts game and then cut the pieces and laminated the pieces. She counted the peanuts as she fed them to the elephant.
