School Bus

Today was school bus day.  T loves spotting the school bus while we drive in the car.

(“Swish” hands in front of you like windshield wipers)

The horn on the bus goes Beep, beep, beep;
Beep, beep, beep;
Beep, beep, beep.
The horn on the bus goes Beep, beep, beep,
all through the town.
(Slap palm in front of you like honking a horn)

The doors on the bus go open and shut;
Open and shut;
Open and shut.
The doors on the bus go open and shut;
all through the town.
(Push hands back and forth in front of you)

The Driver on the bus says “Move on back,
move on back, move on back;”
The Driver on the bus says “Move on back”,
all through the town.
(Point thumb over your shoulder)

The babies on the bus says “Wah, wah, wah;
Wah, wah, wah;
Wah, wah, wah”.
The babies on the bus says “Wah, wah, wah”,
all through the town.
(Rub fists in front of eyes)

The mommies on the bus says “Shush, shush, shush;
Shush, shush, shush;
Shush, shush, shush.”
The mommies on the bus says “Shush, shush, shush”
all through the town.
(Hold index finger in front of mouth as if saying shhh)

School Bus Snack

Materials:

  • Graham Crackers
  • Yellow Frosting
  • Mini Oreos
  • Cinnamon Toast Crunch

Directions:

  1. Spread frosting on the whole graham cracker.
  2. Stick cinnamon toast crunch on for the windows.

School Bus Craft

Materials:

  • Egg Carton
  • Black Construction Paper
  • Scissors
  • Marker
  • Glue
  • Yellow Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Pics of children

Directions:

  1. Paint the egg carton yellow.Transportation Study (104)_edited-1
  2. Cut out black circles for the tires.
  3. Glue the tires on the bottom of the egg carton.Transportation Study (103)_edited-1
  4. On the top write School Bus.
  5. Put pics of children in the egg carton looking out of the windows.Transportation Study (97)_edited-1

School Bus Lunch

Materials:

  • Bread
  • Yellow & White Cheese
  • Pepperoni

Directions:

  1. Add a slice of yellow cheese to the bread and then cut them both in the shape of a school bus.
  2. Take off the cheese and cut windows in the bus them add it back to the bread.
  3. Cut a thin line of white cheese for the stripe under the windows.
