Dinosaur Unit Study

In this unit study we learned about dinosaurs including the Biblical teaching about dinosaurs.  We also learned about fossils and paleontologists and how the classify dinosaurs.  We studied the different eras and learned about a few specific dinosaurs from each era.  This unit study is geared for elementary students with 16 days worth of lessons.  I did this unit study with my 2nd grader and would recommend it for 1st grade though 4th grader.  When I started this unit J knew more about dinosaurs than I did.  He would correct my mispronunciations and tell me new facts about the dinosaurs, but he requested this unit study and I think we both ended up learning a lot of new things about dinosaurs.

Playing Dinos

The boys are always playing with their dinosaur toys.  We used the toys in several lessons and they loved it.  I also found a few coloring books and puzzles that they worked on during this unit study. He also used his flashlight to make giant dino shadows.
